I think its interesting to note where charitable giving goes: “thirty percent of affluent charitable dollars go to religious organizations or churches, which are conventional ways to strengthen communities from within, while 17% of charitable dollars go to social service organizations or education.” so are our churches and religious organizations giving to the poor? not only is there a need to change the attitudes of individuals but also institutions.
